INTRODUCTION

Tommie Hotel is a 9-story (106,368 SF) hotel over 4 levels (79,332 SF) and 173 stalls of subterranean valet parking. The project is a type 1-B, fully sprinklered (NFPA 13) high rise building, with 212 hotel guest rooms, a ground floor anchor restaurant and courtyard “Ka’Teen”, a rooftop deck and bar “Desert 5 Spot”, and a roof pool. Ka’teen will serve Latin-American-inspired dishes and cocktails in a lush setting reminiscent of Old Tulum, while Desert Five Spot will provide an ambiance inspired by Palm Springs in the 70’s.

ANNOUNCEMENT

In Q3 2021, Tommie Hotel construction completed domestic water installation, roof tiling, and wallpaper initiation in guest rooms, corridors, and all public spaces. These final touches are preparing the project for its grand opening in Q4 2021.

Event programming and marketing initatives have also continued under Ten Five Hospitality to optimize Tommie’s exposure and audience reach once operations initiate. Tulum- inspired anchor restaurant Ka’Teen is poised with monthly activations and partnerships with Caravan Gitane, Club Rhonda, & Amaya. Tommie’s rooftop Desert 5 has planned

a 5 Spot Swim Club membership program, a monthly flea market branded “The Trading Post”, regular Monday poolside cinema nights, weekly acousitc live sessions, and more.

TOMMIE PROGRAMMING & BRANDING

In addition to the Flea Markets, Swim Clubs, live acoustic sessions, and more at Desert 5 Spot, Ten Five Hospitality has also further developed that brand look and feel for the hotel’s anchoring restaurant, Ka’Teen. Ka’Teen’s branding is inspired by the ethos of the Mayan City of Tulum, paying homage to Yucatan Peninsula’s rich and diverse culinary history.

JOB REQUIREMENT MET

We have updated the economic impact report based on our current construction spending and projected operations. According to the report, the project would create a total of 2,661 jobs which can support up to 266 investors. Construction alone has created 2,000 jobs which is well over the requirement for all of Tommie’s investors.
